Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that Sayquan Hill, 42, of Troy, pled guilty today to Rape in the first degree, a Class B Violent Felony, Penal Law § 130.35 [1][a].
Hill pled guilty to forcing himself on a minor who was asking for directions and then raped her in February 2025 in downtown Troy.
Hill will be sentenced on January 20, 2026 and is expected to receive 16 ½ years in state prison, 20 years post release supervision and is required to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison. “I would like to thank the Troy Police Department for their dedicated investigative efforts in ensuring justice was achieved for the victim,” said District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly.
Hill was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Antonia Lane.
