Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that Jahnye Griffin pled guilty to Assault in the First Degree, a class B violent felony in violation of Penal Law Section 120.10(1). The Defendant attacked the victim in the victim’s own home, causing him to sustain serious physical injury.
The Defendant will be sentenced to 18 years in state prison and 5 years of post-release supervision on October 7, 2025 in front of the Honorable Debra J. Young.
Assistant District Attorney Antonia Lane prosecuted the case.
