Troy, NY- Rensselaer County District Mary Pat Donnelly announced the sentencing of Julian Soto, 25 of Troy, NY in connection with the 2021 shooting of Matthew Rivera.
Rensselaer County Court Judge Jennifer G. Sober sentenced Soto to 10 years determinate and 5 years post release supervision for his guilty plea to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a Class C Violent Felony in violation of Penal Law section 265.03(1).
Assistant District Attorney Matt Hauf prosecuted the case.
