Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that Jawon DiCarlo, 45, pled guilty yesterday to one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree, a Class C Violent Felony.
In August 2024 at the Capitol Inn & Suites in East Greenbush, a joint drug investigation between the East Greenbush Police Department and New York State Police Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team took place. A Search Warrant was executed at Dicarlo’s hotel room and over half of a kilogram of Cocaine, several Fentanyl pills, several pounds of marihuana, two loaded firearms, and several loaded extended magazines were located.
“I thank the investigators and detectives who worked collaboratively to get these drugs and weapons off the streets of East Greenbush,” said District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly.
DiCarlo will be sentenced on April 14th and will receive a sentence of 10 years of incarceration, followed by 5 years of post-release supervision.
Assistant District Attorney Spencer Lane prosecuted DiCarlo in Rensselaer County Court.
