Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that Scott T. Rose, 59, of Troy was sentenced Thursday, August 4th after pleading guilty to one count of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, a Class D Violent felony, in violation of Section 130.65 subdivision (1) in violation of Section 260.10 subdivision (1), of the Penal Law of the State of New York.
Rose is a level three registered sex offender from two prior sexual abuse case convictions. The criminal complaint alleged that Rose groped a ten year old victim, intentionally touching her buttocks.
Rose was sentenced by Hon. Jennifer Sober to four years determinate, 10 years post supervision.
Chief Assistant District Attorney Matt Hauf prosecuted the case.
