TROY, NY- District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that Todd Watkins, 52, from Troy, NY pled guilty in
Rensselaer County Court before the Honorable Debra J. Young to Count One of the indictment, one Count of Criminal
Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Watkins was indicted after being arrested by members of the
Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department for selling heroin on the streets of Troy.

Watkins will be sentenced on September 23, 2020 at 1:30 pm to a sentence of four years in state prison, followed by
one and a half years of parole supervision. Watkins waived his right to appeal.

Assistant District Attorney Cheryl McDermott prosecuted the case.
