Rensselaer County Welcomes Test Sites: There will be two COVID-19 testing operations coming to Rensselaer County next week, County Executive Steve McLaughlin announced on Friday

The county will be partnering with Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center and the IMA Group with Lab Corp to operate testing sites at several locations in the county.

“This is great news for Rensselaer County and our efforts to beat back COVID-19. We have put considerable time and effort into securing test sites for our county, and are excited to get testing started,” said McLaughlin.

“Rensselaer County recognizes the need for expanded testing to treat those in need and to map out a return to normal life. We look forward to expanding testing even further into communities,” added McLaughlin.

The testing with IMA Group and Lab Corp is expected to start next week, and will be conducted at Hudson Valley Community College. More details will be announced on the IMA Group and Lab Corp testing.

The testing with Whitney Young will be done at the upper lot at the County Office Building, 1600 7th Avenue, downtown Troy on Tuesday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
