Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that Darrell Carson, 46, of Troy pled guilty to one count of Robbery in the 3rd Degree. A Class D felony stemming from an incident which occurred on October 19, 2024.
Carson approached an individual at a bus stop and forcibly removed the individual’s back pack, and personal belongings before fleeing down River Street.
Carson will be sentenced on August 12th and is expected to receive a sentence of 2-4 years in state prison.
Assistant District Attorney Garett Barmore prosecuted the case.
