INTERSECTION OF BLOOMINGROVE DRIVE AND WINTER STREET EXTENSION TO BE CHANGED TO FOUR-WAY STOP BEGINNING APRIL 11, RENSSELAER COUNTY ANNOUNCES
A busy Rensselaer County intersection in North Greenbush will be changed to improve safety beginning Monday, April 11, the county announced.
The intersection of County Route 74 (Winter Street Extension) and County Route 65 (Bloomingrove Drive) will become a four-way stop starting Monday. Currently, there are stop signs only on Bloomingrove Road at the intersection.
The change in the intersection at CR65 and CR74 follows a review by the county Highway Department, state DOT, and the Town of North Greenbush of safety conditions. The change to a four-way stop is expected to improve safety conditions at the intersection for motorists and pedestrians.
The intersection of CR74 (Winter Street Extension) and State Route 4 was also recently changed, resulting in a change in the traffic pattern.
