WILLIAMS FOUND GUILTY OF BEYONCE WINT MURDER

Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that Isaiah Williams, 25, of Brooklyn, was found guilty by a jury today of one count of Murder in the 2nd Degree, a class A Violent Felony in violation of section 125.25 subdivision (1) of the Penal law of the State of New York for murdering Beyonce Wint, 18, of New York City.

Williams, Antwaun Twitty, 34, of Burlington, VT and Idelisse Armstead, 27, of Brooklyn were all charged in the 2019 death of Beyonce Wint. Wint was shot in the head in the early morning  hours of September 17, 2019 on 4th Avenue in Lansingburgh. 

Armstead, 27, of Brooklyn and Antwaun Twiddy, 34, of Burlington, VT, both accomplices to Williams were also charged with Murder in the 2nd, but pled their cases in favor of cooperation.Armstead pled guilty to Manslaughter in the 1st Degree, a class B Violent Felony in violation of section 125.20 (1) and received 5 years in prison and 5 years post release supervision in exchange for her cooperation. Twitty pled guilty to Manslaughter in the 1st Degree, a class B Violent Felony in violation of section 125.20 (1) and will receive 10 years and 5 years post release supervision. 

Williams faces 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on September 15th. The Honorable Judge Jennifer Sober presided over the case, and Assistant District Attorney Cheryl Botts prosecuted Williams.
