Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that Patrick M. Walsh, 64, of Nassau was sentenced today to 3-6 years in State Prison for stealing thousands of dollars from a local restaurant owner.
Walsh, a repeat offender, pleaded guilty on an indictment to one count of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, a class D Felony. He tricked his victim into paying for goods he never received by claiming either he or a relative at a New York City dock could procure authentic or damaged items at a steep discount.
“This offender admitted to an ongoing course of conduct intended to defraud the victim,” said District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly. “His intentions were deceitful from the start.”
Assistant District Attorney George Sexton prosecuted the case for the District Attorney’s Office.
