Troy, NY -- Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced today that Joshua Fowler, 26, of Cropseyville, in the Town of Grafton, was sentenced today on three counts of Murder in the 2nd degree.
Fowler pled guilty to murdering his wife Whitney Fowler, his father Wilson Fowler and his grandmother Anita Crandall at their Cropseyville home on June 18, 2025 and will now serve 45 years to life in state prison.
“A family was shattered when Whitney, Wilson and Anita were murdered on June 18, 2025,” said District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly. “I would like to thank the New York State Police and the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s deputies for their emergency response and investigative efforts in this case.”
The case was prosecuted by Chief Assistant District Attorney Spencer Lanes and second chaired by Assistant District Attorney Nora Baker.
