RENSSELAER COUNTY EXECUTIVE STEVE MCLAUGHLIN TO UNVEIL PROPOSED 2025 COUNTY BUDGET ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17
COUNTY TAX RATE LOWERED BY 37 PERCENT DURING PAST SIX YEARS BY MCLAUGHLIN
Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin will unveil the proposed 2025 county budget during a press conference on Thursday, October 17 at 11 a.m.
The press conference on Thursday will be held in the 4th floor conference room at 99 Troy Road.
The 2025 budget will be the seventh budget introduced by McLaughlin since he was elected as County Executive in 2017. All six of McLaughlin's budgets as County Executive have included property tax rate reductions, with the county property tax rate reduced by a combined amount of 37 percent.
During the same time, the county has improved county services, including a comprehensive makeover of county facilities, paved a record number of county road miles and attracted record investment and job growth.
