Rensselaer County Megan's Law Coalition

The Rensselaer County Megan's Law Coalition was formed in 2005 by Rensselaer County District Attorney Patricia DeAngelis.  The Coalition is comprised of law enforcement officials from every law enforcement agency in Rensselaer County, as well as the New York State Division of Parole, the Rensselaer County Probation Department, and the United States Marshall's Office.  This assemblage of law enforcement agencies is working to ensure the proper enforcement of Megan's Law, within Rensselaer County, including aggressively pursuing offenders who are not following the registration requirements.  The Coalition will acquire, maintain, and disseminate the most current sex offender information available in an effort to minimize the risk posed by sex offenders to the residents of Rensselaer County.
