What is the referral process?
Anyone can make a referral to Adult Protective Services. Social Services Law 457.9 provides immunity from civil liability for any individual who makes a referral to Adult Protective Services in good faith. Referrals can be made by calling our office at 266-7900. We will need to know the client's name and address, some idea of what their disability is, and the presenting problem. If you have their date of birth, social security number and exact diagnosis that is helpful but it is not necessary to make a referral.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our office at (518) 266-7900 Or if you prefer-- email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
