Healthy Women's Partnerships (270-2647)
The Healthy Women Partnership is a program that offers services to eligible women at no cost or low cost for mammography and pap smears by affiliated providers within the county. Please call for eligibility criteria.
Maternal Child Health Program (270-2648)
Public Health Nurses make home visits to provide comprehensive health care services to eligible pregnant women, new parents, infants, and children. Nurses also provide health education on such topics as prenatal care, growth, and development of the children, nutrition, safety, etc.
Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (270-2642)
Services provided by this program depend on the blood lead level of your child. Please refer to table below.

How to get your child tested:
At ages 1 and 2, your child should be tested for lead. Lead testing can be done through your child’s doctor. If you do not have insurance, testing is available through the Rensselaer County Health Department.

Children wth Special Health Care Needs Program
The Children with SpecialNeeds Health Care Program provides assistance to families of children with special health care needs birth through age 21 who need help in accessing various health care professionals and other community resources. We will also help you to access appropriate health care coverage such as Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus and Medicaid. For more information about this program, click here.
