RENSSELAER COUNTY AND COUNTY EXECUTIVE STEVE McLAUGHLIN MOURN PASSING OF RENSSELAER MAYOR DAN DWYER
All of us in Rensselaer County, including County Executive Steve McLaughlin, join in expressing condolences on the passing of Rensselaer Mayor Dan Dwyer.
“Dan Dwyer was long active in civic affairs in Rensselaer, dating back decades, and worked to improve quality of life for those living in the city. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, and served his country with honor and skill,” said County Executive McLaughlin.
“There are a number of economic development and revitalization projects ongoing in the city that will serve as a legacy to Dan Dwyer and his years of work in Rensselaer,” added McLaughlin.
“From one pilot to another, Godspeed to Dan Dwyer on his final flight.”
McLaughlin said his administration is ready to lend assistance to the city, including new Mayor Richard Mooney, in the coming days.
“Our condolences to Dan’s many friends and family, and best wishes those now responsible for guiding and serving the city,” said McLaughlin.
