Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that on Friday, January 4th, 2019, Ricky G. Durham, age 49, was sentenced in Rensselaer County Court to a term of five (5) years of state incarceration followed by three (3) years of post-release supervision for possessing approximately twenty (20) pounds of marihuana.
During two separate instances, members of the Albany Police Department and East Greenbush Police Department found large quantities of marijuana in Durham’s residence and vehicle. Over $20,500 in cash was found in connection with this case, which was forfeited as part of this agreement.
This is the defendant’s fourth felony conviction for possession of marihuana.
Donnelly said, “I applaud the coordinated efforts of the East Greenbush Police Department and the Albany Police Department in bringing this case to arrest. Our community is a safer place with Ricky Durham in prison.”
Assistant District Attorney Carl Rosenkranz prosecuted the case.
