Rules for Rensselaer County Tourism Photo Contest:

 

1) Anyone is eligible to enter the contest however the photos must be taken in Rensselaer County


2) Limit 3 photos per entrant – each entry must be separately e-mailed with accompanying entry form and release. Any photo submitted without an accompanying release form will not be considered.

3) Photos must not feature the intellectual property of others (i.e. a registered trademark) and must be in good taste. It is the responsibility of the photographer to obtain a written release form for all photo subjects prior to submitting the photos as an entry in the contest. Photos are intended to promote tourism in Rensselaer County. No photographs of pets.

4) Contest will run from June 1, 2008 to August 31, 2008. All photos must be submitted by 5 PM on August 31, 2008.

5) Either digital images or prints may be submitted. All photos must be in color and a minimum of 4” x 6” and a maximum of 5” x 7. Digital images must be at least 300 dpi in tiff or jpeg format submitted via CD or email to photocontest@rensco.com

6) Include entrant’s name, address and phone number on a label on the back of each printed photo. E-mailed photos must have entrant’s name, address, phone number. Photos submitted without an accompanying release form will not be eligible.

7) All entries become the property of Rensselaer County and will not be returned.

8) Rensselaer County assumes no responsibility for any incomplete, late, lost illegible or misdirected entries or for any printing errors in any advertisement, entry form or contest rules sheet.

9) Each photo must be submitted with the entry form, which includes a publicity release/permission to reprint form. Photo contest entries may also be selected for publication in promotional materials for Rensselaer County.

10) All participants agree to indemnify the County and hold the party harmless from and against all claims, actions, proceedings, judgments, damages, injuries, orders, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from or related to the entrants infringements of intellectual property rights, or rights of third parties by the entrant.

11) Judges decisions on final and no communication will be entered into.

12) Rensselaer County is not responsible for any inaccurate or incorrect information. If the contest is not able to run as planned, the County reserves the right to suspend or cancel the contest without notice.
