8Th Ward’s World War II Memorial
The Little Italy Quality of Life Committee (QLC) is making final plans for the Dedication of the World War II, 8th Ward Tribute Site scheduled for Veterans Day, Sunday November 11 from 1-2 pm on 5th Ave.,  between Liberty and Washington Streets (Troy N.Y.).    We will also have a reception following the dedication at the C.R.A.B. Club.  See attached for a draft picture of the tribute.

The tribute project has support from the City of Troy, Troy City Council- NIP Grant, C.R.A.B. Club and Italian Community Center.   The intention of the project is to honor 250+ WWII Veterans from the previous South Central Troy 8th Election Ward.   These veterans were originally honored on a wooden memorial erected in the 1940’s.  The memorial was destroyed over time and not replaced.   These veterans will now be honored through this tribute.
